Had Jonah been a good baby, he’d be five months old today! As it is, he was of course 15 days late so he is currently four and a half months old, and growing quickly. When he was weighed four weeks ago he weighed a princely fifteen pounds. We’re loving being parents, each day he surprises and entertains us with what he has learnt and is constantly doing something hilarious - just today for example Stephen held him up above his head in a superman style pose and Jonah promptly let out a long trail of spit, that somehow miraculously navigated behind Stephen’s glasses and into his eye. Jonah followed this up with a little cheeky laugh, almost indicating that the whole thing had been planned.

We’ve enjoyed taking Jonah on a few swimming trips to the local pool and he still gets endless amounts of attention from people on the street when we go walking with him. Stephen is still hard at work at Royal Mail and looks forward each day to coming home and Jonah always greets him with a smile.

We’re looking forward to Easter, when Rachel, Nick and David (Stephen’s sister, brother-in-law and brother) will be visiting and Good Friday is also my birthday, celebrated on Saturday with a Pirate Fancy Dress Treasure Hunt Birthday Party!

We’ve left Jonah on three occasions now, with him being babysat by my parents, and although leaving him isn’t easy we know he has a great time with them as they pay him undivided attention! Soon he will even be trying solid foods so that’s another new experience he has in store for him, and we can’t wait to see his reaction!
